Can I receive chemotherapy at home?

Often chemotherapy infusions can be initiated or monitored at home with physician orders. Partners in Community Nursing’s responsibility is to ensure all criteria are met so that our client is safe and comfortable at home.

What happens if I get sick at home while receiving chemotherapy?

Our nurses will show you how and when to contact us. Whenever possible, we avoid sending our clients to the hospital. We are available 24/7, which means that unless you have an emergency, call the nurse first and we will help you to decide what to do.

What happens if I want to change the course of my treatment?

Your doctor has advised the best possible course of treatment for you however, changes may happen during treatment that may alter your course. Your nurses’ role is to support you, and to collaborate with your health care team to carry out your choices and wishes.
