Principals

Theresa Henderson, RN, BScN, ET, CWOCN, President

Theresa is a Bachelor of Science prepared Registered Nurse, Enterostomal Therapist and Wound Care Consultant. Theresa has spent over 27 years working in the community as a visiting nurse, and a community case manager. She started Partners In Community Nursing in 1998 with three other registered nurses to provide a work environment for other nurses to excel at what they do best. In addition to working with patients and the health care team, Theresa is involved with contract negotiations and public relations at Partners In Community Nursing.

Heather Smith, RN, CHCPN, Vice President

Heather Smith, RN brings to her role a wide variety of nursing experience from many different settings, including hospital, community clinics and long term care. For the past 27 years in her career, Heather has been honoured to work as a community nurse, with her special interests being palliative, oncology nursing and advanced/diabetic podiatry. From the first days of PCN, Heather has continued to apply her nursing experience while developing greater knowledge of human resource management, utilization and mentorship to all of her colleagues at Partners.

Nancy Flynt, Administrative Manager

Nancy has been a supportive member of our team since 1999. Her role is multifaceted and she leads our administrative, human resource, information management and financial processes. Nancy actively supports our nursing staff through education, Crisis Prevention Intervention training and leads our health and safety committee.

Deb Lemon, RN, Clinical Nurse Manager

Deb Lemon is a registered nurse with 29 years of experience working primarily for the last 25 years in the community with expertise in pediatric care, IV infusion therapy and Best Practice Guidelines in the community setting. Deb is committed to supporting the field nurses with mentoring and teaching safe and efficient care for all clients. Deb also is a liason with the Central East Local Integrated Health Network.

Karen Dawson, RN, Clinical Nurse Manager

Karen has been a registered nurse for 26 years, working in a variety of settings including hospital, oral surgery and community. Karen has enjoyed the past 14 years as a community nurse with Partners In Community Nursing. Karen is proud to provide excellent care to all of PCN’s clients. Most recently in her role as Quality Coordinator she has enjoyed acting as a mentor to her colleagues.
