About Us
Partners in Community Nursing has been providing quality nursing care to Durham Region since 1998. PCN is accredited with the Accreditation Canada “We are proud to be part of the medical profession. PCN’s professional team of RNs, RPNs and administrators are dedicated to providing the highest quality nursing care.”
PCN provides community nursing service to all of Durham Region from west Pickering, to north of Beaverton, east to Newtonville and south to Lake Ontario.
Milestones
October 1998, Partners in Community Nursing (PCN) was incorporated.
Since 1998, PCN has been awarded two separate Requests for Proposals through the Community Care Access Centre (CCAC).
January 2006, awarded accreditation with the Accreditation Canada (CCHSA).
November 2007, acquired the pediatric nursing program from Durham Association for Family Respite Services (DAFRS).
January 2009, awarded 2nd accreditation with Accreditation Canada (CCHSA)
In a letter to client families, DAFRS Executive Director, Mayah Sevink stated, “Durham Association for Family Respite Services (DAFRS) approached PCN to acquire its pediatric nursing program because of their strong reputation for service excellence and satisfied employees.”
Theresa Henderson, President PCN, “I cannot imagine choosing any other profession than nursing because of the high satisfaction level from assisting patients to meet their health care goals. Adding highly skilled pediatric nurses to our company compliments our already existing skilled nurses, and provides greater stability to Partners in Community Nursing.”
